Pterodactylus illustration

This is a sketch of a Pterodactylus  that I added color to with watercolors.  Looks like I am on a dinosaur drawing streak.

‘Good composition. Your compositions have just kept getting stronger.

  2. Thanks, Ryan. I was paying attention in a few of those design classes at CCAD. Thanks for taking a look and leaving a comment.

Neat Pterodactylus. Reminds me of the lost world by Doyle. I like the background and how it does not consume the creature but showcases it.

    • Nate, the Lost World is a great book. It is much better than Michael Crichton’s Jurassic Park. I don’t know why Arthur Conan Doyle’s Professor Challenger was not as big as Sherlock Holmes.

He is great! Really cool hatching on those purple/yellow rock formations too!

  5. Cindy, thanks for the comment. I do love cross hatching. Sometimes, hatching can really add to your illustration.
