Creature Reminiscent of Frankenstein’s Monster

I was knocking around the idea of a Gothic themed setting for some drawings.  I used some common elements found in Gothic novels.  The land is a gloomy decaying setting filled with haunted houses and a castles with secret passages, trapdoors, and other mysterious elements.  Supernatural beings such as ghosts, vampires and zombies abound.  The weather is often foul and sudden rain storms filled with howling wind are common. I drew a constructed creature reminiscent of Frankenstein’s monster for the first drawing for this setting.

Excellent drawing! You nailed it on the head with the Gothic element, and a perfect description of Michigan weather. The trees and vines (bony and grasping) make a great, creepy boarder to highlight your creature. Also, very cool rendition of a Frankenstein, more of a peasant type without all the nuts, bolts and factory gig, just the creepy sewn together body parts re-animated through nefarious means. Excellent sketch in all regards! Very well done.

Thanks, Nate. I was going for a peasant type that is a creepy sewn together collection of body parts re-animated through nefarious means. Glad you liked it and thanks again for the comment.
