My fan art illustration of Skeletor from Masters of the Universe. #Skeletor #He-Man #MastersoftheUniverse

My fan art illustration of Skeletor from Mattel’s Masters of the Universe franchise. Skeletor is the archenemy of He-Man and is a muscular blue humanoid with a hood over his bare-bone skull.  He was always trying to conquer Castle Grayskull so he could rule Eternia.  He was also always finding excuses to tie up Teela the captain of the royal guards.  A friend sent me some messages about nostalgic He-man stuff and I had He-man on my brain all week.

  1. Nathan says:

Excellent drawing of good, old Skeletor. For a demonic, coal eyed, flayed face villain, Skeletor always seemed more friend than foe. I don’t know why he wasn’t more scary as a kid? The bleak, vaporous landscape is a nice touch. Well drawn!

Skeletor was usually played for laughs on the cartoon show. He had that silly voice and was not particularly menacing despite having a skull for a head.

  2. Cindy Dauer says:

Wonderfully recognizable Skeletor, but also totally in your style. Cool!
