My first illustration for Inktober 2019

Every October there is a drawing challenge to make one ink drawing a day the entire month (I plan on making two a week). An illustrator by the name of Jake Parker created InkTober in 2009 as a challenge to improve inking skills and develop positive drawing habits. Here is my first illustration for Inktober 2019.

Imps and a Pumpkin #INKTOBER #INKTOBER2017

I’m back for round two of InkTober.  Every October there is a drawing challenge to make one ink drawing a day the entire month. An illustrator by the name of Jake Parker created InkTober in 2009 as a challenge to improve inking skills and develop positive drawing habits.  I made it seventeen or eighteen drawings in last October.  I am planning to post every other day this year.  October is a busy month for me. Here is my first drawing, some imps and a pumpkin.

The Jogging Dead

I created this illustration with pen and ink.  The last few weeks I have been watching season three of the Walking Dead.  The thought occurred to me, what if the dead went jogging.  I imagined Count Dracula jogging with some of his undead friends.    I hope to post two more Halloween illustrations in the next few weeks.TheJoggingDead copy

Pumpkin Patch Monster Fall Illustration

I created this illustration with pen and ink.  Today is officially the first day of autumn.  Fall is my favorite season of the year.  The days have finally started to cool down.  Soon the leaves will be turning.  There is something mysterious and thrilling about the clear brisk days of autumn, particularly in my native State of Michigan.  I love all the signs of fall, the sounds of the Canadian geese overhead, the first frost, the pumpkins and cider.  My favorite holiday is coming, Halloween.  I’ll post some more Halloween illustrations in the next few weeks.
